We caught up with Helen Bull from Coastal Cruises Poole to find out more about their company and exhibiting at the British Tourism & Travel Show.
Tell us a bit about your organisation:
Coastal Cruises Poole began a new chapter in October 2024 following the purchase of the business from City Cruises by our Director, Carol Scott. Since then, the company has been proudly run as an independent family business, employing 15 staff year-round and a further 15 during the peak season.
Since its relaunch, Coastal Cruises Poole has gone from strength to strength, achieving excellent sales throughout 2025 across general sightseeing cruises, coach bookings, and private charters. We are committed to offering distinctive sightseeing experiences along this stunning stretch of the Dorset coastline, as well as unforgettable journeys around Poole Harbour, Europe’s largest natural harbour.
Our experienced captains provide informative and often humorous commentary, complemented by our professional and friendly crew. We believe this dedication to quality and customer experience is reflected in our 4.7 TripAdvisor rating.
Our diverse range of cruises includes Harbour Cruises, Jurassic Coast cruises, trips to the Victorian seaside town of Swanage, and the popular SeaTrain Adventure in collaboration with Swanage Railway. We also offer a wide selection of special event cruises, such as Fish and Chips nights, Murder Mystery evenings, dining cruises, musical cruises, and much more. With a fleet of three boats, two of which can accommodate up to 150 passengers, we are well equipped to cater for coach companies and large group bookings.

2026 promises to be an exciting year for Coastal Cruises Poole, with the launch of an extensive programme of special events and tailored cruise experiences designed specifically to appeal to coach tour operators and their passengers.
For daytime coach groups, we offer a range of popular onboard catering options, including freshly prepared Fish & Chips, traditional Afternoon Tea, and Cream Tea, all enjoyed while cruising the scenic waters of Poole Harbour and the Dorset coastline.
In addition, we are expanding our programme of evening and themed cruises, available for both private group bookings and individual passengers. These include Murder Mystery Nights, Gin Tasting Cruises, Rum and Vodka Tasting Cruises, Paella Cruises, BBQ Cruises, and themed musical cruises featuring the 60s, 70s, and 80s, as well as Elvis tribute cruises.
We also offer a selection of niche and seasonal cruises including Meditation Cruises, Birdwatching Cruises, Pie and Mash Cruises, and festive Christmas Party Cruises. With a fleet of three vessels, we can work closely with operators to create bespoke cruise experiences to suit specific itineraries and passenger profiles.
